Torquin's Recycling Autocatalytic Oxidationsm(RACO)
inhibits or eliminates abnormally proliferating cells that may result from various intracellular pathogens and toxins. This platform has proven
safe and effective in a variety of research subjects over the past
seven years. In pre-clinical research it has been confirmed
to be a safe, effective drug compound with potentially wide-ranging applications. Research
outcomes suggest that the the underlying biochemical mechanism may prove efficacious against a number of potential disease targets in both animals and
humans.
Torquin has developed lead compound formulations, and supporting IP protection, targeting animal and human indications involving abnormally proliferating cells including:
- Age-related diseases (macular degeneration and cardiovascular)
- Chronic intracellular infections (various viral indications)
- Metabolic diseases (adult diabetes, obesity & also accelerated bone regrowth)
- Virally-related cancers and tumors (lymphosarcoma, malignant melanoma)
- Other potential areas including Dental, Endodontic and Orthopedic applications
It is important to note that the above indications may be related
in that they stem from some form of unresolved chronic intracellular infection, resulting undesirable cellular proliferation. In addition, RACOs
effect goes well beyond existing general anti-viral or immunity boosting drugs; in fact,
it has been designed to selectively induce intracellular pathogen
inhibition, destruction and/or apoptosis, and only in specifically affected cells.
Torquin has outlicensed development rights for the technology and continues pursuit of commercialization partners and pharmaceutical firms regarding potential regulatory and market development of this technology for human and animal uses.
